In one of our most intense projects to date, Treeworks, Inc. was tasked with completing a large-scale tree and vegetation clearing project along I-94 for MDOT. With limited time and strict environmental windows due to bat habitat restrictions, the team mobilized quickly and completed what was originally scheduled as a full week of work in just one day.
To meet the deadline, we brought out both of our Sennebogen machines. These powerful units allowed us to work quickly, safely, and efficiently across the length of the clearing zone. By the end of the day, we had successfully cleared the area and fully managed the lane closure setup in-house — which, on a busy stretch of I-94, is no small feat.
This project totaled $70,000 in a single day. While not typical, it shows what’s possible with the right equipment, team, and preparation.
Completing this project before the environmental restrictions took effect was essential for MDOT’s larger construction schedule. Our ability to deliver high-volume results in one day ensured that the next phase of development could begin without delay.
